Cairbags for tank trucks
Application
Tank trucks are equipped with baffle plates, in order to safeguard their stability. These baffle plates are very heavy and do not resolve the dynamic energy of the liquid resulting from breaking and accelerating. Cairbags® in tanktrucks do resolve this issue. The load is unable to move and therefore unable to take up dynamic energy.
Working principles of Cairbags®
A Cairbag® is a new and innovative type aircushion that is installed and inflated in the trailer of a truck. The Cairbag® fills at all times that part of the tank that is not filled by the liquid, ensuring that there is no free air.
The liquid load is secured by the pressure in the Cairbag® . Due to the large contact surface between the liquid and the Cairbag® large forces are provided, preventing the movement of the load. This is safe in bends and during abrupt breaking. In addition, energy is saved as the liquid load does not have to be kept 'in movement'.
